NEW ACADEMIC YEAR

April 1, 2014

NEW ADMISSIONS:  When my parents came to know about my disability, they enrolled me in Nav Vani in the beginning of the academic year. Like me, there are nineteen more new deaf students who are studying in LKG. Our class is divided into two sections: A and B having 10 students each.

Do you know that our inability to hear makes us hard to learn anything new? That is the reason we need a lot of teaching aids!

1.  Jeevan jyoti  School for the blind, Varanasi founded in 1975  (Awarded by the president:  2009)
2. Nav Vani School for the Deaf, Varanasi  founded in 1988 (Awarded by the president:  2010)
3. Asha Nikean school for the MR , Varanasi, founded in 1997
4.  Amar Vani School for the Deaf, Mau founded  in 2001
5. A Day with the Persons with the Disability on 2^nd January of every year (1983). More than two thousand persons with disability from the district gather for a day of entertainment in the school ground of St. John’s, DLW, Varanasi. Read more

Students of other school interacting with the deaf students of Nav Vani. During the year, the students of St. John’s Marhauli, St. John’s Jaunpur, St. Mary’s Cantt Varanasi, IID BHU, Apex college of Nursing Varanasi, visited our students and interacted with them.

Now you are free. So far teachers led you. Now you lead yourselves.  In your life, you will have choices: to do right or to do wrong. Choose to be right.

Your deafness will make your life hard in the hearing world. However do not be disheartened. Learn from the fisher men.  The sea is big, the boat is small, the dangers are many. The difficulties /dangers do not stop fisher men from going  ahead.  Similarly, the world is big and difficulties are many.  You too need to go ahead. Do not blame others , solve the problems one by one and take responsibility for your life.  My prayers are with you:  Principal
